Nikon Z 24-70mm F4 – a Landscape photographers review

I bought this lens used last year, I actually already have the lens for my Sony camera gear, but seeing I have always loved the Nikon camera system having owned many models in the past, the money was there so I went ahead and bought it.

Compared to my Sony ‘Zeiss’ lens its the same focal length although the build quality is not as good not even close to the Zeiss / Sony, thankfully both lenses are a constant f4 aperture, at the widest 24mm and the telephoto end – 70mm. As this lens is a lot shorted on the Z mount, you need to first twist the Nikon version before operating at its widest – 24mm.

So what are the photos like, – well see for yourself, a few of these were taken whilst we were in the car travelling.

I like how my Nikon Z mount cameras both have touch-screen af, this is a solid feature I use often.

Close up on the sign shows great detail

Image taken through the windscreen, not too shabby..

The real issue I have is switching over completely to Nikon and selling on the Sony gear. I have a quote from a local camera shop but selling privately makes more sense, especially as I can then re-invest the money into some more nice glass. (Lenses).
